When you use the App to track your prayers, we collect:

• Prayer logs - Date, time, and source of each Qiyam prayer you record
• Reflections - Written thoughts, feelings, and du'as you choose to share after prayer
• Reflection categories - Categories you select (emotional, du'a, gratitude)
• Progress statistics - Streaks, total nights, and prayer history

To provide push notifications and sync across devices, we collect:

• Device identifier - A unique ID to identify your device
• Platform - Whether you use iOS or Android
• Push notification token - To send prayer reminders and notifications

• Language preference (English or Arabic)

• Prayer time calculation method
• Manual prayer time overrides

3.1 Local Storage

Certain data is stored locally on your device for offline access:

• Authentication tokens are stored in secure encrypted storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore)
• Settings and preferences are stored in local app storage
• Prayer data is cached locally for offline functionality

3.2 Cloud Storage

Your data is synced to our secure backend servers to enable:

• Data backup and recovery
• Multi-device synchronization
• Account restoration if you change devices

3.3 Security Measures

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption (TLS)
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• Authentication tokens are stored in platform-specific secure storage
• Sensitive data (passwords, tokens) is automatically redacted from application logs
• API authentication uses token-based authentication (Laravel Sanctum)

4. Third-Party Services

We value your privacy and keep third-party involvement to a minimum:

• No third-party analytics - We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or any behavioral tracking service
• No advertising networks - We do not serve ads or share data with advertisers
• No data brokers - We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data

Services We Use

• Expo Push Notification Service - To deliver prayer reminders to your device. Only your push token and notification content are shared with this service.
• Device Location Services (iOS/Android) - To obtain your GPS coordinates for prayer time calculation, only when you grant permission.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with any third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

• Legal requirements - If required by law, court order, or governmental request
• Safety - To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public
• Service providers - Strictly limited to infrastructure providers (hosting, push notifications) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

6.1 Access & Export

You can view all your data within the App at any time, including your prayer history, reflections, and settings.

6.2 Correction

You can update your account information, reflections, and settings at any time through the App.

6.3 Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the App. When you delete your account:

• All your personal data is permanently removed from our servers
• All prayer logs and reflections are deleted
• All local data is cleared from your device
• This action is irreversible

6.4 Withdraw Consent

You can withdraw consent for location access and push notifications at any time through your device settings.

6.5 Data Portability

You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at the email address provided below.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• Active accounts - Data is retained as long as your account is active
• Deleted accounts - All personal data is permanently deleted upon account deletion
• Server logs - Technical server logs may be retained for up to 30 days for security purposes

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
• Notify users of material changes through the App
